June 21, 1931 - July 1, 2010

Mom passed away this past Thursday evening, July 1. It's been such a long road, however, we are thankful she suffered little despite being bed bound for so long. My brother, John, is the most dedicated son I know and has honored both of our parents in the way he cared and made decisions for her. My father would've been so proud. Peni, her faithful caregiver, has our genuine gratitude as she was so gentle and loving with our mom. She was able to do what I couldn't. Thank you, Peni. You are family to us and we thank God for you.

Our mom is now in her glorified body, leaving behind the one that somewhat imprisoned her for so long. She is in the presence of Jesus with our Dad. We know that this day was coming for a long time and we are so thankful for her steadfast confidence she had in her Savior, however, it continues to be a challenge to hold back the tears.

An obituary will be the next post along with details of a memorial service.
